![]() ![]() FEBUARY Editors Letter 2003
![]() Well, this will now be the second publisher letter because my computer gave me a " an internal error has occurred and will shut down" right at the end of my letter. You know what-it was a damn good publisher letter, possibly the best one ever written. And no, I obviously didn't save it as I was writing it. Try and stay with me now. I was telling you about how the crusin' calendar is starting to grow from the last couple of months. I told you -that the deadline is the 15th and you can send in a flyer as soon as you have the info and it is free to run it in the crusin' calendar.
Speaking of calendars, the new 2003 Full Throttle calendars are out. They are available at the specific advertisers who helped support it listed on the back page of this book. To get a copy simply go see them and pick them up. In most if not all cases, they are free. Next year we will try to get one together for the Lafayette/Baton Rouge area. If you want one mailed see page 28 for details.
On a different matter briefly, I am looking for a local graphics artist to assist me with some local work. It is part time and paid on a piecework basis. If anyone is interested, please contact me at gilberte1@msn.com.
In the other letter, which was real good, I also talked about,,,humn,,,oh the new independent Louisiana bike festivals that will be coming up this year for a second or third time. The Louisiana Purchase Rally in New Iberia, Cajun Thunder in Abbeville, Southern Bike Fest in Baton Rouge, Halloween Bike Fest at No Problem, Church of Speed at No Problem and the White Dove rally. These are all new and growing local events that we did not have 2 years ago. Please support these promoters as they have a lot of hard work along with money in these events. It is great to see the emergence of these local happenings so let's get them going and support them. Check out our website in a month or so and we will have a rally page with links directly to these events.
The big poker runs are also on the horizon also. The Save a Cop, the Cajun Cruisers, the HOG run, the GRWWA runs and last but not least, the second running of the Red Knights/Full Throttle Magazine "9-11"poker run. Last year most of the runs set attendance records and contributions as well so Thanks and keep up the support.
Well, as usual I've got to get this off to the printer so it will be on the streets for the 1st. Until then, keep the rubber in the road.
Gil
